“Life is like a combination lock. If you know the combination to the lock . . .
it doesn’t matter who you are, the lock has to open.” –Orrin Hudson

Once each month we’ll get on the phone for a 60-minute private Paauwer Hour to identify the right combination — the right steps done in the right way, in the right order and at the right time — to unlock your genius. We’ll begin with an extended 90-minute initial call, allowing extra time to review your values, vision, purpose, goals and the obstacles you’re facing right now.

Every business day — for as long as you are enrolled in this program — you can email me with a question you’ve got on your mind, and I’ll reply to each question within 24 business hours. That’s 250 days a year you can tap into my vast network of support, seek advice, ask for feedback, or request an accountability check-in with something you’re committed to doing.

Just to get you thinking, here’s a sample list of questions you can ask during our business coaching calls or via email, although you’re not limited to these…

Productivity

  • How can I do a better job of managing my time and my priorities?
  • How do I carve out time for something new and important when I already have a full schedule?
  • What productivity tools do you recommend for a start-up business?
  • How do I know what to keep and what to toss?
  • How do I remind myself of important follow-up?
  • Can you recommend a system to help me manage email follow-up?
  • Can you recommend an automated system that allows others to access my calendar and schedule an appointment with me?
  • How do I set up systems for repetitive things I do, so I don’t have to keep reinventing the wheel?
  • How can I focus on important projects when I am constantly interrupted?
  • How do I renegotiate a commitment I have made that no longer fits with my priorities?
  • How do I stay focused on reaching an important goal?
  • I’m on a tight budget. Any suggestions on creative ways to delegate some things I want someone else to do, but don’t have the resources to hire out?

Self-Management

  • How do I push beyond the limits of my comfort zone in order to achieve a goal?
  • How do I keep going when I feel discouraged?
  • As a solopreneur, what’s the best way to build in accountability?
  • How can I get past my negative mindset that causes me to sabotage my results?
  • How do I get started on something new that feels overwhelming?
  • How do I deal with negative people in my life who tell me I will never succeed?
  • How can I create a healthier balance between work and play?
  • Ask a question about making an important decision…
  • Ask a question about dealing with a conflict…
  • Ask a question about dealing with a relationship challenge…
  • Ask a question about dealing with an ethical dilemma…
  • Ask a question about dealing with a difficult client or customer…

About Your Business

“Kathy, how do you do ___ in your own business?” is the most frequently asked question I get. I’ve been in business 22+ years and whatever you want to know, I’m happy to share. Although I do not give tax or legal advice, I can offer resources to help with that, too. Just ask. A few ideas…

  • Business start-up questions
  • How to conduct webinars and teleseminars
  • How to run a virtual business (serve clients without leaving your office)
  • How to market your products or services
  • Who do I delegate or outsource to for ___?
  • Would you read this email and give me feedback before I send it?
  • I’ve got a client asking for ____ and it’s outside the scope of what I offer. How do I respond?
  • Can you recommend anyone to help me with ____?
  • Can you recommend a good source for more information about _____?

About Kathy

When someone asks me what I do for a living, I introduce myself as a Life Architect.  I coach entrepreneurs to help them create blueprints for purposeful and productive lives.

The work of bringing your blueprint to life – and it is work – requires you to get clear about your vision and priorities. It also requires developing the action steps, processes, habits, structures, and systems that best support you. You may have missing or out-of-order numbers to the combination needed to unlock your genius. Together we’ll work to identify the right combination!

Most people assume I earn the majority of my income from coaching. The truth is, I don’t. It hasn’t been more than 25% of my income since 2006.

So, where does my income come from?

I sell information products, run membership programs, offer self-paced courses, engage in affiliate marketing, offer training via webinars, and generate residual income from a network marketing business that I built up over several years. These other parts of my business are responsible for generating the other 75% of my income.

Why do I share this? To demonstrate my breadth of experience and success?  Yup! And to explain that coaching is not my business model.

It’s my PASSION!

If my definition of business success was just about making money, I could stop taking clients tomorrow and replace the income with other streams of income. I actually did that for a while.

Then I remembered what makes my heart sing. I’m motivated on a deep level by helping others to find and follow their passions, in a way that enables them to enjoy success…however they define that.

When my clients are building something that makes their heart sing and they experience the results they desire, I celebrate as much as they do!

Very few people achieve anything great alone. Sports stars and Olympic athletes have performance coaches. Famous singers and actors have voice and acting coaches. Business professionals have business coaches.

There’s something powerful about having someone in your corner who understands your values, vision, passions, and intentions and is consistently there to fully support you– with no attachment to the choices you make, and with no judgment—to serve as your sounding board, cheerleader, encourager, truth-teller, and pathfinder.

I’ve been working with my own personal coach for more than 20 years, and some of my coaching clients have been with me for nearly that long.  It’s gratifying to know my clients enjoy working with me, and I LOVE having these long-term relationships. I also enjoy working with clients on a short-term basis.

Frequently Asked Questions About This Program:

Q. Does one question per business day mean only one reply, or is there a bit of back-and-forth?
A. Sometimes we may need some back-and-forth to gain clarity on one topic. In that case, we may exchange a few messages to cover your question for the day.

Q. Am I getting a reply from you or an assistant?
A. Your questions are not being screened by anyone else. It’s private between you and me and the response you receive will always be from me.

Q. Are there a specific number of months that I must commit to participating in your program?
A. Since coaching is a process that takes place over time, I recommend that you make a commitment to yourself for a minimum of six months with any coaching program, whether you’re considering my program or someone else’s. That being said, this is not a contract and I never hold anyone to this. If I am not the right fit, or if a client’s needs or circumstances change, I honor whatever is best for them.

“I value your listening ear for my organizing practice…someone to bounce ideas off of who’s been there and done that.

You’ve taught me the importance of listening to my clients and not making assumptions about their needs. And your advice has definitely saved me money! At the end of one of our calls you asked me how I was taking care of myself. That really meant a lot to me, and it made me think. I take care of everybody else and don’t think about what I should do for me. You also helped take a look at how I value my services and what I charge for them. Thanks for everything!”
